The Conductor Series: inter-industry collaboration on the electrification of transport
Webinar 1: Challenges, opportunities, and what we don’t know
With the rapid adoption of new technologies in the transportation and electricity sectors, professionals working in these industries are grappling with significant shifts to their strategic and operational objectives. They are tasked with the integration of climate targets, the demands of decarbonisation, IoT and data as an enabling asset, and changing consumer expectations into existing operational models.
Distribution network service providers and departments of transport have independent and sometimes competing targets and objectives that will need to be clearly understood as we plan for the infrastructure solutions required for the electrification of transport. Without coordination and collaboration at the right levels, change will not happen in a manner that supports the reliability, efficiency and security standards that are expected from end-use consumers.
This series is designed to assist industry professionals working in electricity and transportation as they plan for, integrate, and operate the infrastructure required for the electrification of transportation in Australia.
