The Conductor Series II: Aligning the transport and energy sectors as we electrify transport
The successful transition to mass electrification of transport requires thoughtful alignment and collaboration between the transport and energy sectors. C4NET is proud to be collaborating with iMOVE and RMIT to develop a working dialogue between these traditionally disparate sectors.
The II Conductor’s Series webinar included a live stream introductory presentation by guest speakers Stephen Tofler and Ben Jensen from WSP.
During the webinar, participants engaged in breakout room discussions and provided collective feedback. We were privileged to have a select group of industry and government stakeholders attending the live event in Melbourne, Australia. Their presence contributed to the richness of the discussions and enabled a comprehensive exploration of key topics.
Topics of discussion included:
- The current and future desired state for each sector
- Business and operating models, as well as key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Differences between the needs and demands of businesses versus residential consumers
- Relevant policies and regulations for each sector
- Potential solutions to challenges and opportunities for joint initiatives
A summary of the outcomes will be circulated to continue the conversation and explore further collaborative opportunities. This series is designed to assist industry professionals working in electricity and transportation as they plan for, integrate, and operate the infrastructure required for the electrification of transportation in Australia.
